Cattery Prestige

 

Your Cattery prestige rating is based on how well you have done in the show ring.  Every time you finish Winners Bitch/Cat or higher, your rating goes up a little bit.  As your rating gets higher, it will take more to increase your prestige rating.  Your rating will also go down slowly over time if you don't have any success in the show ring.

Prestige rating doesn't impact any other aspect of the game and is just a method to determine how well you are doing compared to other Catterys.  Do not compare your prestige to your own prestige from one day to the next but rather your rank amongst the rest of the users on the site.  We continually modify the way Cattery prestige is calculated to better reflect what is going on with Showcats.Com.

Factors Impacting Cattery Prestige

Show Wins in Past Month

By far the most important aspect of your prestige rating is how well you have done in the show ring over the past two months.  Shows held over one month ago do not impact your Cattery prestige.

Champion Offspring Produced in Past Four Months

Any champions that you have produced in the past four months increase your Cattery prestige.  By produce, we mean breed, not just show.  You have to be the actual breeder of a Cat or bitch for your prestige to go up when it completes a championship. 

'Seniority'

By simply staying on with Showcats.Com your Cattery prestige will slowly rise until you have been with us for 100 days. 

Subscription Status

Because the lifeblood of this site is its subscribers, your Cattery prestige rises a set amount when you subscribe.

Message Board Posts

By taking part in our message board discussions and helping to create a better online community, your Cattery prestige will rise.

Despite the numerous factors that influence your prestige, it can never get over 30 without success in the show ring.  Your prestige may rise or fall from one day to the next as we tweak the formula used to calculate Cattery prestige but all users will be judged based on the same formula at all times.
